Shame on me for complete lack of updates. I wish I had a real reason to not have been around so much, but honestly I can’t offer much of an excuse <del>other than I’ve been playing World of Warcraft like a fiend lately</del>.

In all truth though home life has become increasingly laid back, and a complete lack of annoyance makes for a very boring journal. Mostly I find myself trying to come up with things to blog about, but I just end up writing my own fiction stories that I have no interest in posting. <del>Largely due to the fact that they are unpolished drafts and therefore suck</del>.

My online presence has increasingly dwindled over the past month, but I’ve been kicking around a few ideas regarding the launch of a new trading card game. (Everything has been entirely planned out except the card template and the design of the site!) I’m worried about opening a game without a co-owner though, I don’t want to get sick and miss an update and end up letting down all the players. I would rather hand over all the preplanned ideas to someone who I could trust to keep up with the game, but lately every TCG that has opened has closed before the pre-join phase has even started, much to my annoyance. Why do these owners not try to find someone to take over the damned game instead of just letting it die without even offering the players an “I’m sorry!” update?

I have two back up posts for the main blog which I hope to now update regularly on Fridays, one is a list of ways to save some cash, the other is a review for the Kinect Review A Thon. The latter still requires a bit of polish, and has to also be cut down a bit (the draft was over 5 single spaced pages!)

Good news in that I am continuing with my weight loss. The bad news is that my clothes are falling off of me and due to the fact that I am still losing weight I do not want to buy clothes that won’t fit me in a month. Ah… First world problems. I am proud of myself though, and I love the feeling of running uphill and knowing that my arms and legs are stronger now than they have been in my entire life. I’m kicking around the idea of joining a Kickboxing class once my at-home workouts just can’t keep up with me anymore (a time that is approaching at an alarming speed!) Wrestling with Will is a lot more fun now, because he has to resort to using Jui Jitsu or else I can buck him off or wriggle lose. It is even more fun to run up behind him and tackle him because he can’t wriggle lose like I can. Surprise cuddle-tackles for the win! Mwahaha!

All in all I can say that the past few months have been both relaxing and rewarding, and looking back I can say I am very content.

Despite the fact that I haven’t updated the blog in god knows how long, my Alexia rating has skyrocketed by about 500,000 points, which has led to a slew of spam e-mails with unrealistic prices for me to include a text link ($140 USD Seems Legit!) and pingbacks/trackbacks for every article, page, and article related image on the entire main site. I can’t understand exactly how this has happened, as I don’t actually utilize SEO principals, as this is just my online haven and I’m not really trying to promote and/or sell anything. I’m not even interested in selling ad-space here. Ah well.

In other news, I got back from DisneyLand last weekend, I just have to clean a few pictures and then dump them into the gallery for everyone to oogle and awwe over.

Other than that there isn’t much going on. I’m debating throwing up a blog post over on the main blog, I just have to figure out what to write about. I’m debating a new free online resources page, or showing off my mad cross stitching skills. (How about a 5 easy ways to keep your house free of clutter in 10 minutes a day?) I actually quite like the last one.

In other news, I’m still going strong on the fitness routine. Naturally I took a break while I was on vacation, but due to running through the parks like mad (Despite a 5 star dinner every night) I still managed to lose weight while I was there. All in all I’m falling out of all of my clothes (even the skinny clothes that I had from before!) Just a few more inches to go and I’m THERE.

Also I may be playing Star Wars The Old Republic in the next few hours… I’ll have to hit up Melissa for her server/name info, but I have to admit I’m still a little skeptical, I’ve never really been one for Science Fiction MMORPGs, normally I tend to play the Fantasy style ones, but oh well. I’m rather interested in figuring out exactly what is going on on there.

The only thing I love more than reading in general is writing my own stories. The only thing I love more than writing my own stories is reading historical fiction. A genre that deserves its own section in every bookstore across the world.

Roma by Steven Saylor is the newest addition to my personal library. It is absolutely fabulous and amazingly well written. He tweaks no historical facts throughout the book whatsoever, and many of his “original characters” are based on people who actually existed.

Simply put: Amazing book. Go read it.

If I am paying for healthcare, I am paying for healthcare. My lady doctors appointments should be covered by my healthcare coverage, and birth control (Such as the birth control pill) should be covered on my prescription plan. Quite frankly all the men who keep whoring out the argument that Women who need medical coverage to pay for birth control are all whores can shut the hell up and keep quiet. You [men] are covered to have fingers shoved up your rectum, and birth control helps many women with things such as ovarian cysts and regulating hormone levels.

I am NOT asking for a free birth control handout. I’m saying that my medical coverage which I pay for out of my paycheck covers medical and in the case of my prescription plan: prescriptions for birth control pills.

Should this cover condoms? No. Should this coverage extend to abortions? No.

I will not go over my personal thoughts on abortion other than that it is an elective procedure. Most of which are not covered on most healthcare plans anyway, and therefore it has no real basis for even being TABLED for the discussion of birth control in healthcare.
