Thanks to being sick on Friday and sleeping in the same day, my sleep schedule was pretty much farked for the entire weekend. Obviously when I attempted to crawl into bed Sunday night at 3:00 AM with the expectation that I would be waking up again at 6:00 AM I was naturally not pleased when I couldn’t fall asleep no matter what I tried to do. Eventually (around 4:00 AM) I was finally beginning to drift off (you know that lovely feeling where you are just between awake and dreaming and you can see your subconscious starting to play dreams for you?) when William suddenly jumps up in bed, and yells something unintelligible at the top of his lungs.
The sudden noise and movement naturally scares the living daylights out of the cat, who also shoots up in the air and lands on my back, and also freaks out the dog who jumps up and starts barking at the top of his little corgi lungs. Needless to say once the smoke had finally cleared I was laying with my cheek pressed into the pillow and my bloodshot sleep deprived eyes wide-open and staring into the pitch black bedroom.
I’m sure nobody is surprised by the fact that I reached over onto my bedside table and changed my alarm from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM.
Despite the lack of sleep I was filled with almost boundless amounts of energy throughout the entire day. (Lets be blunt here: caffine + lack of sleep = a very wired Katherine), which was helpful in the fact that my workday whirled by in a flash. But generally speaking Mondays usually do pass quickly for me anyway.
After arriving home I managed to get several things done. I’m about 30-40% done with my 1UP deck donations (Whee!) and I’m up to date on all of my TCG trades. I also moved the Tumblog around a bit and made it into more of a daily diary (I prefer to keep the original blog for more in-depth posts, and use this blog for smaller personal ones).
Sometimes I start worrying that I’m never going to be done tweaking Eclipsed. Which I am fairly sure is a strange complaint from a blogger. But after de-cluttering the site I always worry when I go to add something new that I’m just going to end up adding useless fluff. While Eclipsed Moon is my personal website, I’m not the only person that views it; and I do like to take my audience into consideration. I get a certain kind of joy out of knowing that others read what comes out of my strange little mind.
Other than that I have rattled through almost all of my to-do list. I still need to walk the dog and do my exercises (but Sherlock is playing in the background for another 20 minutes, so I’ll finish that first), and I’ve almost finished my cross-stitch! So hopefully that will be done tomorrow and I’ll have a picture ready to share.
Well that’s all from me for the night, unless something interesting crops up in the next four hours. Happy Monday everyone!
